I've had some pretty good experiences with Rigid tools.
I did have a pipe cutter similar to this that has lasted forever and doesn't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon.
I'll definitely by another if mine ever fails.

I have seen a lot of pipe cutters but this one is most beautiful. I can hopefully say that it will work better .
