Sharpening Your Tools & Accessories, Just Got Easier

We are always looking for ways to save money, I don’t know about you high rollers but last year and the year before I was still trying to save money. Something tells me I’ll be that way no matter what’s going out in the real world. I recently had an interesting conversation about two new products that appeal to my frugal nature the www.worksharptools.com & www.drilldoctor.com designed for sharpening tools and accessories. I’ll be reviewing the Drill Doctor 750x & Work Sharp WS2000 w/Knife sharpener next week and let you know what my thoughts are. In the meantime I’ll leave you with their official Press Release below…

Ashland, OR -- This year, dads no longer need to throw away the dull tools and drill bits they've been saving in their shops. Everyone has them -- those tools that have been sitting in the shop unused for a few years gathering dust. Professional Tool Manufacturing has what dad needs to get those tools back to new -- Work Sharp and Drill Doctor.

"More and more of our customers are revisiting the classic skills and techniques of the past in order to save money," said Matthew Bernard, Director of Marketing, Professional Tool Manufacturing. "But sharpening tools by hand is a challenging skill to master. Rather than buying new lawn mower blades and new gardening tools, for example, these tools can be sharpened, maintained and be made better than new -- and you can do it yourself with the Work Sharp and the Drill Doctor."

Drill bits, chisels, knives and garden sheers get used often and can quickly get dull, dirty and used. But that doesn't mean it's time to buy something new. Most tools can quickly and easily be resharpened, refurbished and reused --- usually quicker than the time to would take to head to the local hardware store for a replacement.

"As people look to save money, they should be aware that most of their tools are in great condition, but might need a little TLC to work like new again. That's where our tools shine," offered Bernard.

The Drill Doctor can re-sharpen dull drill bits in a matter of a minute or two, while the Work Sharp is able to sharpen most of the other tools using an innovative horizontal grinding surface. Work Sharp has just introduced 2 new wheels -- a surface conditioning wheel which offers quick removal of rust, dirt, paint and a variety of other coatings and a polishing wheel which makes a mirror finish.

Recently, the Work Sharp added a knife sharpening accessory which allows you to quickly and easily sharpen your knives in addition to your other tools. Using patented flexible belt technology, the Work Sharp can sharpen straight knives as well as serrated and curved knives which can be hard to sharpen using other methods.
