Local Columbus, Ohio Woodworker Devon Palmer

Devon Palmer is a local woodworker whose studio is only a few blocks away from us in the www.junctionviewstudios.com (Checkout the ArtShow this weekend).  Primarily he makes bowls, vases, platters, goblets and other ornamental sculptures.  Clearly the Lathe is his preferred machine of choice and over the years he has gotten extremely talented at using it to create amazing works of art.  On his website www.devonpalmer.com he states that after the initial creation of a piece it can take up to 3 years to finish it, to ensure stability.  In an effort to keep his work as Green as possible, he tries to use only locally sourced fallen wood so nothing needs to be chopped down or imported.  I caught this YouTube video the other day and wanted to give some props to a local artisan who supports some of the same local groups we do.
