We have been following the progress of Franklinton Rising program since the begin and have been very impressed with the mission, students and progress. The program takes homes that are falling apart in neglected areas and begins teaching teens the skills needed to renovate these properties. With 2 classes completed there are plans for more in 2017 with more home renovations already underway.
With many trade school programs going away it is nice to see programs like this starting up. Of course a program like this is not possible without support from professional tradesmen and generous sponsors such as Waterworks, Custom Air, Mid-City Electric and many others.
The team at Ohio Power Tool with the support of Milwaukee Tools have so far been able to outfit all the Franklinton Rising graduates with the a great set of Milwaukee hand tools, tool belt, bag and safety apparel to get started.
