Goo Gone Pro Power Citrus Solvent Cleaner Review

We’ve been using Goo Gone for many years now and can actually recall the very first time we ever used the citrus cleaner. It was just after we brought home our very first car, a used 4 door Honda and it was awesome. The first thing that had to go was the dealer badge they stuck on it for some free advertising. After taking off the plastic piece however there was some really nasty adhesive left on. A buddy told me Goo Gone was the only thing that would take it off without damaging the paint. Sure enough it came right off in seconds and the paint was indeed unharmed, since then we have been through many bottles.

When Goo Gone contacted us to do some testing on their new 16oz Pro-Power Formula ($7, Amazon) we were 100% on board.  We did not know however they would be sending along a New DeWalt Saw covered in sticky stuff to actually test it out. First off, thank you for the new saw! Second the new Pro-Power Goo Gone works terrific, all the sticky stuff was completely gone in seconds and of course it did so without damaging the saw in anyway.

Then we started thinking what else can it clean? What kind of job could it do on greasey tool parts with years of gunk build up? The tool repair techs we work with use industrial parts cleaning bins to get everything cleaned off before replacing parts, seals, gaskets and using fresh grease on a tool. Could Goo Gone do the job if they didn’t have a part cleaner on hand? Yep it sure could, see the parts below.
