The M18 FUEL 7-1/4″ Circular Saw (2732-21HD) 12.0Ah | Cut The Cord (figuratively, please)

I’ll say it up front, and I’m sorry if you don’t agree. A circular saw is meant to be cordless. Milwaukee Tool is pushing to “cut the cord” with the new 12.0 Ah batteries. Available this July for only $399, the M18 7-1/4″ Circ Saw Kit with the POWERSTATE brushless motor provides 5,800RPM and offers up to 750 cuts per charge.

750 cuts in a single charge is a pretty impressive. This life span covers your full day at work, for some, it covers much longer than that! Not only the life span, but Milwaukee boasts that this circular saw cuts up to 25% faster than 15A corded and high-voltage circular saws.

How does it compare to the competition? Milwaukee is comparing their saw to the DeWALT FLEXVOLT DCS575, which I believe isn’t the comparison most people want to see. The DCS575 includes a 6.0Ah Flexvolt Battery and peak output 1600W. Where the Milwaukee comes with a 12.0Ah Battery and 2000W peak, comparing the two is correct if you want a 7-1/4″ blade right circular saw but we know Team Yellow Fans really wants to see the Milwaukee 2732-21HD toe-to-toe with the DeWALT DCS577X1 Worm Drive “Style” Saw.

On paper, even with a smaller 9.0Ah FlexVolt battery (can’t believe I’m saying smaller 9.0Ah battery), the DeWALT DCS577X1 is a more powerful circular saw with 2400W Max WATT OUT. Again we are only talking peak watt specs, but if Milwaukee was more powerful we’d guarantee they would have used it in the demos at NPS18. I’m excited to run some tests to compare the pro’s and con’s of all these 7-1/4″ Circ Saws when the Milwaukee Saw arrives in July.

The 2732-21HD kit will replace the current 2731 M18 FUEL Circular Saws which have severed them well for 5 years now. The new kit includes the following:

Make sure you’re at the front of the line and pre-order yours today at Ohio Power Tool for only $399. Bare tool 2732-20 will not be available until January 2019 as this saw really benefits heavily from the new 12.0Ah High Output Motor.
