Makita 18V 3-Speed Brushless Impact Driver LXDT01
The new LXDT01 ($346, Amazon), the latest in a long line of innovation from Makita in the impacts category, has even more fastening power than the previous model, giving contractors unprecedented power, battery run time, ergonomics and versatility.

The Makita-built brushless motor with 3-speed power selection offers soft, medium and hard impact power to cover a wide range of fastening tasks:
– Soft impact setting: 0-1,300 RPM, 0-1,300 IPM, and 220 in.lbs. of Max Torque for small fasteners such as hinge screws for woodworking.
– Medium impact setting: 0-2,000 RPM, 0-2,800 IPM, and 490 in.lbs. of Max Torque for medium sized fasteners such as drywall screws.
– Hard impact setting: 0-2,600 RPM, 0-3,400 IPM and 1,460 in. lbs. of Max Torque for large fasteners such as lag bolts.

Consistent with all of Makita’s impact products, the proprietary hammer and anvil impact mechanism in the LXDT01 is manufactured using the best raw materials with the highest quality steel and unique heat hardening process for maximum fastening and driving power.

Makita’s Brushless Motor Technology delivers increased motor efficiency to provide up to 20% longer battery life per charge. With the motor’s more efficient power, the LXDT01 has a more compact design at just 5-1/2" in length and only 3.3 lbs. with an 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery.

The LXDT01 is engineered with ergonomic and ease-of-use features. The built-in L.E.D. light has an independent on/off switch to illuminate the work surface, when needed. In addition, a battery warning light and the built-in L.E.D. light both flash when it is time to recharge the battery. The LXDT01 has a "one-touch" ¼" hex chuck for simple bit insertion and a tool hook for increased efficiency. The ergonomic shape fits like a glove with even pressure and easy control.

Makita 18V Drywall Screwdriver LXSF01

The new LXSF01 combines the power of a corded drywall screwdriver with the convenience of a cordless tool, and is engineered for hanging sheetrock, metal framing, installing subfloors, backerboard, and decking applications. It is engineered with a Makita-built motor (0-4,000 RPM), with an adjustable nose piece for consistent screw depth to handle a range of drywall and framing applications.  The ergonomically-designed rubberized pistol grip with large 2-finger trigger delivers increased comfort.  The LXSF01 has a compact design at only 11-1/8" long and 3.8 lbs. for reduced operator fatigue.  Additional convenience features include a reversible belt clip that attaches to either side of the tool, and an L.E.D. light to illuminate the work surface.
