Milwaukee 2017-2018 GRIDIRON Work Gear

Milwaukee Heated Work Gear & Now Milwaukee Non-Heated Work Gear have been a huge success from what we have seen in the past couple years. We’ve seen them make some pretty big innovations in work wear, and they seem to step up the quality and functionality almost ever year. This year, Milwaukee has taken some tips from workers in the field, heard their frustrations with cold weather work clothes, and delivered an impressive new lineup of hard-hitting cold weather gear for Milwaukee fans everywhere.

Unlike the last few years, we will not be seeing any new M12 heated gear, as the jackets and hoodies they released last year are already very impressive. So for those of you that missed your chance to get your hands on the gray, black, red, or camo heated jackets and hoodies last year when they SOLD OUT, its not too late.

Coming this fall, we will see new non-heated GRIDIRON Workwear from Milwaukee that focuses on super-durable construction and functionality rather than heating. These new products feature a tough GRIDIRON outer shell that is up to 3X more durable than traditional c12 oz. cotton duck, and is much more tear and abrasion resistant. They are also wind and water resistant, so those that work in cold rain and snowy environments will not have to worry about getting wet and freezing the rest of their shift. Cotton duck jackets can eventually get wet in the snow, and usually offer no comfort in freezing rain as it only takes so long until they get wet, cold and heavy from the moisture. These are ideal for layering with a M12 Heated Hoodie as well as a light-weight or Mid-Weight WORKSKIN base layer.

Adding to their Hoodies, the new NO DAYS OFF Hooded Sweatshirt ($70) will be wind and water resistant and feature a comfortable fleece lining that does an excellent job keeping your body heat inside (no M12 heating elements in this one). It features an interior storm flap that is separate from the hood to keep moisture from getting inside. The hood is also designed to fit comfortably under a hard hat. It features double layered reinforcement of high wear areas such as the sleeves and pocket edges. It also features an interior zip pocket for phones and other devices. All these features make the new NO DAYS OFF Hoodie suited for use as a base layer or even outer layer to fight the elements.

The all new GRIDIRON Traditional ($150) and Hooded Jackets ($140) will also have some new features that make them ultimate jobsite jackets. Along with superior wind, water, and abrasion resistance when compared to cotton duck work jackets, these new jackets also have several new features for all day comfort. FREEFLEX stretch panels can be found on the back that allow for easier arm mobility.

Milwaukee says these jackets come ready to wear, and don’t have to be worn in like cotton duck jackets sometimes have to. The difference is noticeable when wearing one, it can sometimes take a while to break a new work jacket in that is made of tough material, and can be pretty uncomfortable the first few weeks.

Both feature 100g insulation, and the traditional jacket appears to have a corduroy-like collar, which tends to be pretty comfortable around the neck and prevent friction like some cotton duck collars do. The traditional jacket has four reinforced outer pockets on the chest and waist, and one inner zip pocket, while the hooded jacket has two large exterior pockets, one sleeve pocket, and inner zip pocket as well.

Lastly, but surely not least, we have the new Milwaukee GRIDIRON Bib Overalls ($170). These new overalls feature the same FREEFLEX stretch panels on the inner leg to allow for a little more room for movement, and reduce break-in time. Like the two new jackets, the are also water and wind resistant and feature 100g high-loft insulation.

The feature metal strap buckles and tarnish resistant zippers on both legs and they appear to have snaps too over top. They have two front hand pockets, two back pockets, and 3 side leg pockets with tape measure and hammer loops, as well as 5 chest pockets for pens, notepads, utility knives, hand tools etc.

The Bib Overalls come in Short, Regular and Tall lengths, so be sure to check out the sizing chart below to make sure you get the right fit!
