Expanding on their metal working cordless tools Milwaukee is launching their first Brushless Die Grinder ¼” which will offer all the power of a corded tool and 25 minutes of runtime with one 5.0Ah battery. Ever since their first FUEL grinder was launched the die grinder has been requested by those looking for portability in surface prep and metal working.
“When faced with a situation that requires grinding in tight spaces or irregular surfaces, mechanical and metal fabrication professionals will most often turn to a die grinder to get the job done. However, the cordless options available in today’s market do not offer the performance or run-time required for prolonged use,” said Andrew Plowman, Vice President of Product Management for Milwaukee Tool. “Unwilling to settle on sub-par performance, we spent countless hours conducting jobsite research and advancing our technologies until we could introduce a solution that provides a true productivity enhancement with the M18 FUEL™ 1/4” Die Grinder.”
The new 2784-22 ($399, kit) and 2784-20 ($199, bare) will be launching in February but available for pre-sale now. The ¼” collet fits standard die grinder accessories with a 20,000 RPM max speed for up to 3” cutting wheels. For many already in the Milwaukee M18 system this is a very welcome addition with power, performance and run-time expected from the FUEL brushless lineup.
