Dewalt DCS690 Flexvolt 9” Cut-Off Saw – Power Tool Showcase

The Dewalt FLEXVOLT 60V Cordless 9” Cut-Off Saw has a 3.25” depth of cut and features a brushless motor with a 6,500 RPM no-load speed. This allows for instant on, no messing around with gas, quickly cut and score in concrete or masonry materials. Goes right through steel and rebar with performance similar to what you’d get with gas saws. The guard is out of the way for a clear line of sightwith good visibility in tight spaces. The Dewalt DCS690 also features a beltless all-metal drivetrain so no belts to change, tension and maintenance. The latched and sealed battery box also keeps the battery and terminals protected from water, dust and other materials.͍ A duel-feed water system offers OSHA Table 1 Complaint solution for dust management required when cutting concrete and masonry materials. CUTTING AND CHIPPING. @dewalttough . . First and foremost, I was surprised by the power of the new dcs690 cordless cutoff machine. It felt great in the hands also. It was, light, well balanced, and the positionable guard was easy to adjust. On board blade wrench in the sealed battery compartment and an " over force " indicator light were welcomed as well. I do wish the light had been in a different location as it can be hard to see under the top handle, but after a couple of minutes of use you get a feel for whether or not you need to let up. Also, with the abrasive blade on, this would be a welcome addition for steel erection, concrete formwork, and possibly even firefighting operations. . . The biggest downside today was battery consumption. It ATE through six 9ah batteries as I basically went full bore testing it for 1 1/2hrs. I definitely WAS abusing it while trying to find it's limitations, but a 12ah ( or three 😉) battery will be a necessity. Overall, I think lots of trades will have a place for it and enjoy the flexibility of not carrying fuel or starting and stopping a saw numerius times a day! As always, if you have a question, feel free to send a DM. 👊💪💛 . . Also, more video if you check my IGTV videos from link in profile. . . #dewalttough #doyourbestwork #dcs690 #cordlessconcretesaw #concretework #landscaper #electrician #electriciansofinstagram #sparky #sparkylife #bluecollar #tradesman #dirtyhandscleanmoney #we❤️tools #teambesttool #cutthecord #completelycordless
