Fluke hand tools, Bosch Bulldogs and so Much More! – Coptool Week In Reivew – 6/14/19 EP 212

This week, in the world of power tools… Skil Builder makes a scarf, while Nick picks your pocket. Doresoom finally comes back from NPS19 and ToolPig lets a pair of Bulldogs fight it out! Those stories and more, coming up next! This is your Coptool Week In Review!

We start this week the way God intended, with Clint, Mountain Dew, and a new power tool. Clint decides the Tool Review Zone needs a bit of grease and turns to the new Ryobi  18v cordless grease gun to get the job done. If you’re looking for 10k psi of greasy goodness, either head to white castle, or visit The Tool Review Zone on Youtube.

Vince and the VCG Crew love to dig deep into a manual when trying out a new tool or gadget. This week he tries out a Dewalt quick connect impact chuck, and in the process discovers that Dewalt recommends using bacon grease while drilling through metal! Check out the new chuck at VCG Construction on youtube.

Brent left behind his podcast booth to show us a new set of insulated hand tools from Fluke. Which is a brand. Brent points out that Fluke is well known for their test instruments, but found this new set of hand tools to be of equal quality to their other offerings. You can get a better look at them at Tool Pros Podcast on youtube.

Once in a while, your timber just isn’t long enough. And while there are several solutions, this week Robin from Skil Builder decided to show us all how to make a scarf joint, like a Pro. Using only a Hikoki circ saw, a drill, and a hammer, he builds a solid, reliable joint, that’s strong enough to support two sparing Englishman, or here in the states, a single bag of burger king… To find out if the joint holds up, or to learn how to make your own, head over to Skill Builder on Youtube.

If you’ve watched all 44 of the NPS19 videos we posted last week… Mom… and you still haven’t had your fill of big red, then Doresoom has ya covered. He somehow managed to cover the entire event in a short 11 minutes, making me wonder why we bothered to show up at all. His comment section is brimming with the opinions of many Milwaukee fans and enemies alike. So if you’re anxious to tell us all how we should feel about the new tools from Wisconsin, I suggest you head over to doresoom tool reviews on youtube.

Father’s Day is this weekend so for my project of the week, I needed to find the most epic, manly dad gift ever. Obviously, I ended up on Jimmy Direstas Youtube Channel and fell in love with the Scissor Lift BBQ he made. If you are trying to decide what Multi-process welder to buy or what BBQ would look the coolest on your deck be sure to check out his video at Jimmy Diresta on Youtube!  Now I feel bad. . . All we got my dad for Father’s Day is a STIHL chainsaw. If you find a project you think should be my project of the week, email me at projects@coptool.com

DECK HACK – Building a deck? Need a good space between deck boards? Grab your @empirelevel speed square, plop it between your 2 boards, push together, fasten in place, remove speed square, repeat with next row. Then you have nicely spaced decking! . Wanna see how NOT to insert your speed square between boards? Swipe and turn your phone👍🏼@clarkconcreteconstruction and I decided to go head to head with the @boschtoolsna corded Bulldog Xtreme Max and the new 18v cordless Bulldog. We were drilling 1/2” holes for rebar. We had the same 4 cutter bit. In the first video I have the cordless first. In the second video Tyler has the cordless and basically smokes me. I was trying to at least keep up but it didn’t happen. Bosch made this new cordless hammer better than the corded Bulldog which is the worlds best selling rotary hammer for a reason!! I think that is pretty cool stuff! Would you try this new hammer? #cordlesstools #concrete #hammerdrill #rotaryhammer #hammer #chippinghammer #demolitionhammer #masonry #rockdrill #bosch #tool #tools #construction #concreteconstruction
