The Bosch Reaxx Saw has been ruled against in the International Trade Commission (ITC) case disputing patent issues with SawStop and the only one who can overturn the ruling is Donald J Trump himself (let him know what you think #TrumpREAXX). He has 60 days to review the case and veto this exclusion order. It’s in his hands now… but it’s not looking good. (more…)
“Patent legal action is far from over” is how the Bosch Press Release below starts. The case is not expected to be over until January 2017 and the “initial determination” still has to undergo review and additional arguments from the parties. When we reported the information from SawStop’s Press Release earlier this week it admittedly sounded very much like judgement had been made and all that was left was to determine the punishment. *** 9/15/16 Update – Bosch’s response to the below SawStop Press Release
SawStop just published a press release on Business Wire (see below) announcing that the Judge Thomas B. Pender has confirmed (at least the “Initial Determination”) that the Bosch Reaxx Saw has infringed the SawStop Patent. This certainly looks like SawStop is one step closer to the Bosch Reaxx being dead in the water. If that is the case we would fully expect Bosch Tools to make good on products they have released.
If you are looking for a safer table saw with flesh detecting technology it looks like the SawStop Table Saws maybe the only option for the foreseeable future. Good news is they offer a full range of table saws from jobsite saws to large industrial saws.
Our friends at Pro Tool Reviews just did a nice comparison on the Bosch Reaxx and SawStop jobsite saws.

Well it looks like the day is soon at hand as Bosch is promising to deliver these new saws starting June 1 (you can pre-orders now), despite the active lawsuit with SawStop. We want to look at pros and cons raised by both sides and hopefully get a better idea how these two saws stack up! (more…)
