Dewalt Vs Makita SDS Max Hammer Drill (@ToolPig)

#toolfight the @dewalttough DCH733 VS @makitatools XRH07 this is a big 1” hole in 8” 30 year old highway concrete. The new hammer with 9.8 ft lbs (13.3J) is more powerful than the Makita with 8.4 ft lbs (11.4 J). The Makita has almost 1/2 the vibration though. 5 MS² vs 9.0 M/S² You can really feel the difference. The whole handle and battery are isolated on both hammers. On the Makita there is also a counter rotating mechanism to cancel vibration more. The front handle is also isolated from the motor and hammer mechanism. This Makita and the corded HR4013C are possibly the smoothest rotary hammers on the planet. The 733 is heavier at 20 lbs vs 16.8 for the Makita. For extended chipping, extra weight may come in handy. • The second video is for runtime with this 1” bit. They both finished 11 holes in this 8” piece of Missouri highway. The Makita did 7” on hole 12 with 2 5.0 batteries. The DeWalt finished 2” on hole 12 with a full 9.0 #Concrete #SDS #SDSMax #RotaryHammer #Construction #HammerDrill #DemolitionHammer #Hammer #makita #dewalt #dewalttough

So here's a little video about my new DeWalt flexvolt 60V rear handle saw ! . First things first, if you know me, you know that I'm a big fan of the skilsaw worm drive, and the first thing I noticed with this DeWalt, is the soft start motor. Damn this saw is smooth ! And the electric brake is a safety feature that every saw brand should have, even corded. . This saw is powerful, the 60v 9.0AH battery give a ton of power and you never feel that the saw struggle to do the job. The 5800rpm ( vs 5300 with the skilsaw ) make a big difference ! . But all this power have a price, the weight !!! Gosh this saw is heavy ! Almost 14 pounds with the battery ! The skilsaw weight 11.5 pounds and feel like a feather in comparison ! . I feel like both saws have their place on a job site, the convenience of the cordless and the power with the DeWalt and the reliability of the skilsaw, you have a perfect match !
